What to ask a parts and gear shop

• Can you order it if it is not on the shelf, and how long does that usually take? Bring the part number, or the old part, to save a second trip.
• What is the return policy on a part that turns out not to fit? Ask before the packaging is opened.
• Can I try gear on in the store? Helmet sizing and shape differ between brands, and a helmet that fits one head badly is not a helmet you will wear.
