Advertising Policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

2 Wheels in Common sells a small number of Sponsored placements to brands that want to reach motorcycle riders. This page sets out what we will and won't run, so you know before you build a campaign. Every campaign is reviewed by a person, and we may decline any campaign for any reason.

Where placements appear

A Sponsored placement is one card near the top of selected pages of our shop and destination finder on 2wheelsincommon.com, such as a city's list of motorcycle shops and its Worth the Ride page. It is always labelled "Sponsored by" and your name. The 2 Wheels in Common app carries no advertising, and riders who open these pages from inside the app do not see placements.

Placements are sold as a flat-fee sponsorship of a set of pages for a set window, for example one city for one month, or every city in a country. We don't sell by the impression.

Who can advertise

Motorcycle manufacturers and brands, financing, insurance, and warranty providers, gear makers, riding schools, events, and other businesses that serve riders. If you run a local motorcycle business such as a dealer, repair shop, or towing service, a business listing is built for you instead.

What we won't run

  • Competing rider apps and ride coordination platforms
  • Alcohol and cannabis
  • Unsafe riding shown as normal, such as stunting on public roads or riding without gear
  • Police evasion gear, such as radar and laser jammers
  • Predatory lending, including payday and title loans
  • Political and issue ads
  • Gambling, adult content, and weapons
  • Crypto and get-rich-quick schemes

Ads must be truthful, must not imitate 2 Wheels in Common's own messages, and must comply with the law where they run, including the disclosure rules for lending, insurance, and warranty offers.

The creative

Every placement uses the same simple template:

  • one image (WebP, AVIF, PNG, or JPEG);
  • a headline and one or two short sentences;
  • a button label and the web page it links to.

No animation, video, sound, scripts, or advertiser-supplied code. You send us the image file and we host it ourselves. We don't load images, pixels, or tags from your servers, so a rider's device never contacts you just by viewing a page.

Riders' privacy

We don't use ad networks or third-party tracking, and we don't share riders' personal information with advertisers. When a rider taps your button, we count the tap on our own site and then send them to your page. Your campaign report is built from these first-party counts for the pages and window you bought, and describes them as raw delivery.

Your landing page

The page your button links to must follow this policy for the whole campaign, not just on the day it starts, because riders reach it for as long as the placement runs.

Removal

We may remove a campaign at any time if it or its landing page breaks this policy. The terms of each campaign, including refunds, are set out in its insertion order.

Contact

To ask about a placement, send us a message and a person will reply.
